Summary

Description
English: The new flag of Mandera County in Kenya. Based off of a flag posted in the FOTW mailing list, it was officially adopted according to [1].

Key description of the flag: "

  • 1. The triangular insert on the left side of the flag symbolizes the Kenyan flag and indicate our commitment to the Kenyan dream and values.
  • 2. The 9 stars inserted in the centre of the flag symbolize the number of Mandera County as 009 in the County listings in the Schedule 1 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
  • 3. The red colour of the flag symbolizes the revolutionary change in governance of the county which is brought about to the county by devolution." Although, I am not too sure how many white fimbriations surround the red star.
